Meet the Wood's

I am a Georgia-born, Southern-raised, Christian wife, mommy, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend.  In all my spare time (ha!) I am a full-time communications coordinator for a large citrus growers' organization.  I am a graduate of the University of Florida (Go Gators!!), but a big piece of my heart will always belong to my first collegiate love, Auburn (War Eagle!!).

Hubby is a true Florida Cracker and proud of it.  He is a sixth or seventh generation Floridian, born and raised.  The only time he lived anywhere else was during his time in the US Army.  He is a husband, daddy, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.  In his spare time he is a full-time citrus production manager.  He too is a graduate of the University of Florida, but he is a whole-hearted Gator!

We were introduced by a mutual friend at a NASCAR race in the summer of 2003, engaged in the mountains of Tennesee in the spring of 2004 and married on a schooner off of Key West with 30 of our closest strangers (yes, we eloped) that November.

In April of 2006 we expanded our family with the birth of our amazing little girl, BBug.  She is a little-bit stubborn (like her daddy of course), a little bit sassy (like her mommy) and a whole lot of wonderful!  She came out of the womb with those BIG blue eyes (which have since turned an amazing blue/green) wide open, and has been on alert ever since!

October of 2008 saw us welcoming our second blessing a little earlier than expected.  BuddyRoe was born at 35 weeks after holding delivery off for several weeks following complications.  Other than a short time on the ventilator, some jaundice and some "Wimpy White Boy" issues, he was perfect and came home with us after 8 days in the NICU.  He gave us a couple more scares those first couple of months before settling in, now he's 2 and giving us a whole new set of scares with his lack of fear!

Rounding out our family is our big lugg of a mutt, Bentley.  He's more commonly known around our house as SweetSweet, and that name fits him to a T!
